We believe whole heartedly in approaching the day with a calm demeanor and leaning into a documentary, editorial approach. This allows our couples to be comfortable in front of our cameras and to trust us to make art of what we see. We of course take action and suggest poses to our couples, but in a way that is enjoyable so we can effortlessly capture their most honest and flattering expressions to tell their story authentically.

As founder and senior lead photographer, I take great pride in experimenting with my work to stay engaged with my creativity and keep the KH team inspired. On a wedding day there is nothing more magical than weaving together a set of images that set the tone of the story. Sequences have to be my favorite! Picture this. The groom's little niece playing with her basket of flowers, swinging it back and fourth, and then tossing a petal one by one when suddenly her dad picks her up and tickles her, creating a burst of laughter. Three distinct photos of playful contemplation and sheer happiness. Life is all about the simple details and it's why I fell in love with telling wedding stories.
