Barbie Pink Villa Woodbine Wedding

Emily and Nathan’s vision for their elegant, Barbie Pink Miami wedding came to life at the stunning Villa Woodbine. When Emily first reached out, she really emphasized wanting the wedding to be a big weekend celebration being that it’s a Miami destination wedding for a bunch of New Yorker’s. They wanted a more candid, editorial approach to their photography to really capture the ambiance of everyone including themselves having a great time.

Wedding Day Musts

To achieve that, we made sure to have ample time for getting ready and having coverage throughout the reception as they are a big party crowd. This allowed us to not rush the photos at any point during the day and capture genuine candid moments instead of posing every photo because we felt short on time. It also allows us to set a relaxed tone for the day and make the photography a fun experience! A key addition was opting to have a first look prior to their ceremony. They were able to have a private moment before guests arrived and really explore Villa Woodbine. We were able to go around all of the property and take amazing editorial portraits that felt chic and moody. This also allowed us to capture the family formals prior to the ceremony. They got to enjoy their full cocktail hour with family and friends drinking espresso martini’s. Plus dancing all night to their Rock With U Fusion band playing Taylor Swift on repeat.

Blush Decor

Now let’s talk a bit about the details! One of our favorite details of the wedding were the fuzzy Barbie pink pajama’s that the bridesmaids wore. So fun! Especially with the matching slides. They were super comfortable and very on brand for the festivities. The real highlight were the floral arrangements created by The Bride Candy! The blush Barbie tones complimented by whites and greens, made their way into all all the nooks at the estate. From the cascading fountain flowers in the Villa Woodbine courtyard, wrapped on the staircase railing, and the long reception centerpieces. Just gorgeous! See for yourself. – XO Jess
